Macmobile, a leading retail execution technology provider, has partnered with UK-based AI company Neurolabs to integrate added image recognition capabilities into its retail execution ecosystem. The collaboration marks a major milestone in the group’s broader digitisation and innovation strategy.

As retail environments become increasingly complex, brand owners and field teams face growing pressure to maintain perfect shelf execution. By embedding Neurolabs’ technology into Macmobile’s workflow, field representatives can now capture shelf images that are instantly converted into structured, actionable data. This intelligence feeds directly into Macmobile’s Keystone analytics platform, providing a "single source of truth" for in-store performance.

Moving From Manual Capture to Intelligent Execution

Historically, field representatives have relied on manual data capture to record shelf availability, pricing and promotional compliance. This process can be time-intensive and prone to delays in reporting.

By integrating Neurolabs’ image recognition technology directly into Macmobile’s existing workflow, shelf images captured in-store are now processed in near real time. Visual data is automatically analysed, with product detection and identification feeding directly into Macmobile’s analytics environment via Keystone.

Initial deployments are already demonstrating strong operational impact:

  • Over 50 percent time savings compared to manual capture
  • Approximately 97 percent SKU recognition accuracy
  • On-Shelf Availability scoring delivered within minutes
  • More than 2,600 SKUs onboarded, with rapid expansion across additional categories

Deployment began in January 2026 with SKU onboarding continuing across broader product portfolios.

Driving the Future of Retail Automation

The partnership forms part of Macmobile’s wider innovation drive to enhance its data science and advanced analytics capabilities.

By replacing manual shelf assessments with AI-driven image recognition, Macmobile is building a scalable platform that enables:

  • Automated availability tracking
  • Promotional and pricing compliance verification
  • Competitive presence monitoring
  • Enhanced execution analytics

“This partnership represents a key step in our digitisation journey,” said Sean Tennent, Growth Director, Macmobile. “We are focused on building smarter, faster and more scalable solutions for our clients. By embedding image recognition into our ecosystem, we are reducing manual processes and unlocking new levels of insight that strengthen our service offering.”

The technology operates seamlessly within Macmobile’s existing infrastructure, ensuring execution partners and field teams maintain familiar workflows while benefiting from enhanced intelligence behind the scenes.

Designed for Real-World Retail Environments

Neurolabs’ platform is purpose-built for complex retail environments and high SKU density categories. The technology integrates directly into Macmobile’s architecture via API, returning structured data to support analytics and reporting.

“Macmobile has been exceptionally proactive in onboarding and scaling this deployment,” said Paul Pop, Co-Founder and CEO at Neurolabs. “Their innovation mindset and focus on operational efficiency made this a natural partnership. This collaboration also represents an important milestone for Neurolabs as we continue expanding our Execution Intelligence platform into Africa alongside our existing deployments across Europe and the US.”

The current rollout represents phase one of a broader scalability pathway, with potential expansion across additional operating companies and geographies over time.
